Dr. Mallet is currently the Consultant, Director at the Centre for National Distance Learning and Open Schooling (CENDLOS) in Accra, Ghana. He has been involved in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and ITC in Education since 1994. Mr. Mallet is an Alumnus of University of Cape Coast; Université de Bordeaux III, France and Gardyne College, Dundee Scotland. He is an acclaimed methodologist in the Teaching of French as a Second Language, a pioneering Administrator in Distance Learning, and Public Relations Officer at the University of Education, Winneba, and a former education Specialist at the Commonwealth of Learning (COL).
He is the outgoing Chair of the Commonwealth Open School Association (COMOSA), and currently an International Resource Person for the Economic Commission of West African States (ECOWAS) in ICT in Education and TVET. He is also the National Coordinator for the African Virtual University (AVU) and UNESCO Resource person in Open Educational Resources (OER). He is a Board Member of the School of Continuing and Distance Education, University of Ghana, Legon, the Institute for Educational Development & Extension (IEDE), University of Education, Winneba; the Regional Training & Research Institute for Distance and Open Learning (RETRIDOL), and the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN).
His present role, among others at CENDLOS, is to conceptualize, design and implement eLearning for the Pre-Tertiary, with immediate focus on three projects for Senior High School – Secondary Education Improvement Project (SEIP) funded by the World Bank, Televic by Belgian Government and eTransform which is part of a World Bank project through the Ministry of Communication. He is also building capacity for ODeL at the Koforidua Technical University and the University of Mines and Technology (UMAT).
